Weed control in broccoli is becoming increasingly complex as the number of approved herbicide active ingredients decline. However, ARA™, powered by our Broccoli algorithm, opens new opportunities for weed control.
Scan and detect weeds with Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Our advanced Plant-by-Plant AI™ technology detects weeds of sub-centimeter size in your broccoli crop. It targets them in less than 1/4 of a second on a footprint as small as 6 by 6 cm.
The clearly visible spray footprints on the ground here demonstrate the drastic reduction in product use compared to a broadcast treatment.
A Solution When Selective Inputs Don't Work
A case study, conducted by our agronomists, highlights the agronomic value of ARA™ in a challenging weed management scenario. In a broccoli crop heavily infested with redroot pigweed (Amaranthus retroflexus) and lacking effective post-emergence solutions, ARA™ enabled the safe use of a non-selective herbicide through its safety zone feature.
The grower had no window for mechanical weeding because of weather, soil conditions and time constraints. Only ARA was possible.

Weed control in cabbage is becoming very complicated due to the limited number of certified molecules. However, ARA™ opens new opportunities for weed control.

Up to 95% Reduction in Plant Protection Product Use
ARA precisely applies herbicides, insecticides, fertilizers and biostimulants only where needed.
-> Weeding in the row possible compared to mechanical weeding strategies
-> Opportunity for non-selective contact herbicide
