The Swiss pioneer in AI-driven ultra-high precision spraying strikes a strategic partnership with Horttak Equipamentos Agrícolas to bring Plant-by-Plant AI™ technology to Brazilian growers.

Ecorobotix, a Swiss company and global leader in ultra-high precision (UHP) spraying powered by AI, announces its first official distributor in Brazil: Horttak. The agreement is a decisive step toward bringing Plant-by-Plant AI™ technology directly to Brazilian fields, with an initial focus on the demanding vegetable sector—including onions, garlic, carrots, beets, and leafy greens—in the states of Minas Gerais and Goiás.

The alliance with Horttak reinforces Ecorobotix's strategy of combining its technological innovation with deep local market expertise. More than just delivering the ARA™ ultra-high precision sprayer, the goal is to ensure that farmers receive the technical support, maintenance, and agronomic guidance necessary to extract maximum profitability from the equipment.

Marcelo Takeshi Matsubara, founder of Horttak, sees the collaboration as a milestone for smart mechanization in the country. "This partnership represents a very important opportunity to connect vegetable growers with technologies that can truly deliver results in the field," he states.

"What we see in this alliance is the ability to offer producers smarter, more efficient solutions, especially in mechanization, automation, and precision agriculture, helping to reduce costs, increase yields, and, above all, improve the quality and uniformity of operations."
Marcelo Takeshi Matsubara, Owner, Horttak Equipamentos Agrícolas, São Gotardo-MG

He further emphasizes that the project's strength lies in pooling expertise: "I believe the collaboration between our companies has tremendous potential because we can provide farmers not just with machinery, but with complete solutions—encompassing technology, assistance, and support so they can produce more and better. Our expectation is to build a long-term relationship, develop the vegetable market in Brazil, and help growers transition to increasingly precise, sustainable, and profitable agriculture. I am highly optimistic and believe we have a great opportunity ahead."

The Impact of Ultra-High Precision in the Field

For vegetable growers dealing with increasingly tight margins, labor shortages, and strict market demands, ARA emerges as a vital tool for competitiveness. With over 1,000 units operating globally and powered by exclusive Plant-by-Plant AI™ technology, the equipment uses 3D and RGB camera modules to analyze the crop in real time. Operating with a 6x6 centimeter precision, it applies inputs (herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, and fertilizers) only where strictly necessary, enabling true plant-by-plant crop management.

In practice, this technology allows for the safe use of non-selective herbicides on established crops, minimizes phytotoxicity, and delivers up to 95% savings in the volume of crop protection products.

"The official arrival of Ecorobotix in Brazil this March, now consolidated with Horttak as our first distributor, is a very important moment for us. We understand the daily challenges Brazilian farmers face, and from now on, we are pairing cutting-edge Swiss technology with excellent local service, proving in the field that it is possible to give control of the operation back to the grower."
Paulo Amorim, Commercial Director of Ecorobotix in Brazil

Ecorobotix and Horttak are already preparing the first technical field demonstrations for the second half of 2026, where growers and consultants will be able to see the impact of ARA on crop profitability firsthand.
